Pearland, TX — Colleagues from HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland recently stepped beyond hospital walls to support a cleaner, healthier community during National Volunteer Month. Hospital leadership, nurses and colleagues partnered with Keep Pearland Beautiful for a park cleanup at Lone Star Pavilion at Centennial Park, contributing to a more welcoming environment for local residents.
The volunteer effort was part of HCA Healthcare’s enterprise-wide We Show Up for Our Communities initiative, which encourages colleagues across the country to give back through service and local partnerships. Through this initiative, HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland continues to demonstrate its commitment to caring for communities not only through healthcare services, but also through hands-on community engagement.
Colleagues, including Chief Executive Officer Elias Armendariz and Chief Nursing Officer Jenn Bowman, participated in the cleanup effort, working together to remove litter and enhance one of Pearland’s shared public spaces. The project reflects the organization’s ongoing focus on supporting community well-being and addressing local needs beyond the hospital setting.
“At HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland, we are committed to showing up for our community in meaningful ways,” said Elias Armendariz, CEO HCA Healthcare Pearland. “This effort reflects our dedication to supporting the health and well-being of Pearland both inside and outside the hospital.”
As part of HCA Healthcare, HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland remains dedicated to creating healthier tomorrows through volunteerism, charitable giving and partnerships that strengthen the communities it serves.
