North Cypress appoints Dr. Mark Bomann as chief medical officer
HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is proud to announce the appointment of Mark Bomann, MD, FASA as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Bomann brings more than two decades of leadership in anesthesiology, academic medicine, and military service, with a strong track record of advancing quality, innovation, and patient-centered care.
Dr. Bomann joins HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress from Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, where he served as Professor of Anesthesiology and Division Lead for neurosurgery, complex spine, and out-of-OR anesthesia. He also serves as Flight Surgeon and Pararescue Medical Director with the U.S. Air Force Reserves, overseeing medical rescue operations and developing national standards for casualty care.

A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Bomann completed his anesthesiology residency and chief residency at the University of California, San Francisco. He has been recognized with multiple awards, including the HCA Dr. Thomas Frist Humanitarian Award and the U.S. Navy and Marine Commendation Medal.
