Connor Best named vice president of operations at HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball
Tomball, TX — HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is pleased to announce the appointment of Connor Best as the new vice president of operations, effective October 6. Best is an experienced leader in healthcare operations and hospital infrastructure, with a strong commitment to advancing patient care and operational excellence.
Best joins HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball from Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview, Texas, where he served as assistant administrator for more than two years. During his tenure, he provided executive oversight for multiple departments including Imaging, Food and Nutrition, Environmental Services, Therapy, Materials Management, and the Longview Regional Breast Center. He also led capital projects, quality initiatives, and served as the facility’s Privacy Officer.
Before joining Longview Regional Medical Center, Connor held administrative roles at Tennova Healthcare in Knoxville, Tennessee, and UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
Best earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of South Alabama, and both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
In his new role, Best will support strategic and operational initiatives, working closely with the chief operating officer (COO), senior leadership, and clinical staff to enhance services and performance across departments. His responsibilities include fiscal management, process improvement, policy development, priority setting and driving the achievement of key performance targets.
