R. Cynthia Mahesh grew up in Wisconsin and Florida, but has been a Texan since receiving her Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University. She went on to complete medical school at Baylor College of Medicine here in Houston, and then completed residency in Pediatrics at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
