Prepare for labor, delivery, and beyond with this focused, one-day childbirth class offered at HCA Southeast. Taught by experienced registered nurses, this one-day course provides evidence-based information in a supportive hospital setting to help you feel more confident and ready for birth. What you'll learn:
1. The stages of labor and what to expect
2. Breathing, relaxation, and comfort techniques
3. Pain management options, including epidurals and natural methods
4. The role of your support person during labor
5. Common hospital procedures and interventions
6. Basics of cesarean birth
7. Early postpartum care and newborn essentials
This class is ideal for busy parents-to-be who are between 26 and 32 weeks pregnant and want a comprehensive overview in a single day. There will be time for Q&A, hands-on practice, and a brief tour of the labor and delivery unit.
