Trauma Survivors' Day to be celebrated at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake
Clear Lake, Texas — HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake will recognize National Trauma Survivors Day on Wednesday, May 21, by celebrating the stories of five resilient and courageous survivors during a special event.
As part of the hospital’s first ever survivorship walk and celebration, these men and women will share their stories of community, hope and restoration. They will represent more than the 2,800 trauma patients cared for by HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake hospital each year.
The on campus walk, which will begin in the Main Tower lobby and ending in the Large Conference Room inside of the Main Tower, will kick off at 11 a.m. followed by a survivor luncheon that will end at 1 p.m.
Donna Jasso, Mayor of Webster, Texas will speak during the event and deliver a city proclamation to recognize May 21, 2025, as HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake Trauma Survivorship Day.
Joining the mayor will be Dr. Brian Brewer, Trauma Medical Director, who will share new details on HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake’s journey toward becoming a Level I Trauma Center— and the benefits the new designation will bring to the community.
