2026 Specialty Care Leader by Healthgrades

To be considered for an award in prostate surgery, a hospital must be evaluated for either one or both conditions based on MedPAR data. Healthgrades evaluates both procedures based on in-hospital complications. The Prostate Surgery Excellence Award is based on the volume-weighted average of the z-scores for these procedures or the direct z-score if only one type of procedure is performed.

As performance gaps persist between the nation’s highest — and lowest-achieving facilities, seeking care at a top program has never been more important.
