Jim Beck Brown

Chief executive officer

Previous to his appointment as chief executive officer (CEO) of HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress, Jim Beck Brown was chief development officer (CDO) at HCA Healthcare’s Gulf Coast Division.

Brown joined HCA Healthcare in 2017. Before coming to HCA Healthcare, Brown was senior vice president/CEO of ambulatory services for Memorial Hermann Health System. Brown has also served as the orthopedic service line executive for Memorial Hermann Health System and CEO of Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital. His career began at Christus St. Joseph’s Health System in Paris, Texas as an administrative resident, eventually rising to the rank of vice president. He later served as chief operating officer (COO) at Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs, New Mexico, and COO at Doctors Hospital of Dallas.

Brown earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing at Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University. Brown is currently a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves as an advisory board member of the Trinity University Healthcare Administration Program.

Wesley Bamburg

Chief operating officer

Wesley Bamburg has served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress since July 2024.

Bamburg began his career with HCA Healthcare in 2013 as the Gulf Coast Division's Vice President (VP) of Payor Contracting & Alignment. Bamburg most recently served as COO at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center. He was previously ACOO at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake.

Prior to joining HCA Healthcare, Bamburg had the unique opportunity to work regionally in 11 states concentrating in managed care, network operations and physician alignment with combined experience from both the payer and provider perspective.

Bamburg attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University on an athletic scholarship where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration and his Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University. He is board-certified in healthcare management and recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Bryan Shepherd

Chief financial officer

Bryan Shepherd joined HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress as chief financial officer (CFO) in 2018. He oversees management of all financial departments, allocation of resources and preparation of the annual budget including accounting and health information.

Shepherd joined HCA Healthcare in 2001 and has over 15 years of finance experience. He served as vice president of finances over the northwest Houston market for HCA Healthcare's Gulf Coast Division. He served as CFO at TriStar Summit Medical Center for three years and as division controller over the TriStar Division for five years. Shepherd also served as a controller for St. David’s HealthCare System for four years.

Shepherd earned a bachelor's of business administration from Ohio University.

Maggie Yacoubian, MSN, RN

Chief nursing officer

Maggie Yacoubian joined HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in October 2022. In her role, she oversees the clinical, operational, strategic, quality and financial performance of the hospital's nursing service line.

Yacoubian previously served as CNO at HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball, where she excelled at driving a culture focused on clinical excellence, colleague engagement, patient safety and the overall patient experience.

Yacoubian joined HCA Healthcare in 2012. With over 23 years of nursing experience, she served as the director and administrative director of clinical care and emergency services for Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Yacoubain earned a bachelor's of science in nursing from South University and a master's of science in nursing leadership and management from Western Governors University. She is a graduate of the HCA Executive Development Program and has been recognized as a Top Ten-High Performer for exceeding top hospital initiatives within HCA Healthcare's emergency room operations.
