Conroe, TX — Colleagues from HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe recently stepped beyond hospital walls to support local families by volunteering at the Montgomery County Food Bank and packaging more than 2,000 meals.
The volunteer effort was part of HCA Healthcare’s enterprise-wide We Show Up for Our Communities initiative, which encourages colleagues across the country to give back through service and local partnerships. Through this initiative, HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe continues to demonstrate its commitment to caring for communities not only through healthcare services, but also through hands-on community engagement.
Hospital leaders, nurses and colleagues worked side by side at the food bank to assemble meal packages that will help stock shelves and support food distributions across Montgomery County. The project reflects the organization’s focus on supporting community well-being and helping meet critical needs beyond the hospital setting.
“Access to healthy food is a key part of overall health. When families have nutritious options at home, it can support better outcomes for everything from heart health to diabetes management,” said Matt Davis, CEO of HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe. “That’s why our colleagues are proud to partner with the Montgomery County Food Bank and help put more than 2,000 meals into our community.”
As part of HCA Healthcare, HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe remains dedicated to creating healthier tomorrows through volunteerism, charitable giving and partnerships that strengthen the communities it serves.
